Valentine’s Day?
It’s been quite a while since i posted my last blog, and lately a particular occasion had tickled my inner consciousness to write sumting about it. And that very occasion is valentine’s day.
I mean wad’s so special about valentine’s day?
On the very same day, every couple (or future couple) in the world celebrating the very same thing, having more or less the same ideas about how to celebrate it (giving flowers, chocolate, or romantic dinner, u know wad i mean). It became bloody common, since everybody’s doing the same thing that day IT’S NOT THAT SPECIAL ANYMORE.
please note that i didn’t write this because i am single, and thus i abhor ppl celebrating their love on val’s day, no no.. in fact i’m dating a nice, good looking (^0^)v and a very romantic man i’ve ever met. So im pretty sure that im looking at this issue from a very objective point of view (when i say ‘this issue’ i meant the valentine’s day issue, not the description of my bf part :D).
Anyway, it’s a different case if ur anniversary coincided perfectly at 14th of February. U have every right to celebrate ur special day, because it HAS special meanings for both of you (not that im saying u dont have the right to celebrate it if ur anniversary wasnt February 14th)
Don’t get me wrong, i love the idea of celebrating our LOVE on one SPECIAL day. That’s why i decided to celebrate my own valentine’s day on other, rather unexpected day
i suggested we (me and pooh) should change the date every year to give extra excitement.
yes yes, i know i will get alot of rolling eyes by those who read this blog, but this is my blog, i can still have my own opinion, right
Anyway, at first, pooh (romantic to the core) insisted that we should celebrate that day by having dinner, but im persisted by my stand that i wasn’t going out, or to be given anything that night.
At last he agreed, but on that night he came to my house, he brought me a chocolate cake (im not complaining, its delicious), and said "im cooking u dinner here if i couldn’t take u out for one"
So, there he was in my kitchen, cooking me Salmon Pasta (helped by my mum). I was touched.
And it changes a BIT of my perspective about valentine’s day (i said a bit, okay).
Yeah… so… err…*grumbling* happy valentine’s day, huni. u deserve it more than anybody else
Luv ya!!
